Somatic therapy is a mind-body healing modality that has roots in mindfulness, body awareness, subtle energy healing and the expressive arts.
In this workshop, you will be invited to pause, focus inward and bring a gentle awareness to your heart space. You will be guided in simple movements and meditation intended to connect you with your heart. Then you will have the opportunity to explore the messages in your heart through drawing and journaling.
Appropriate for anyone seeking deeper connection to themselves.

At the August meeting of the Avon Chapter Holistic Chamber of Commerce (held in Bloomfield), I will be leading the group in a creative dance experience. You do not have to be a member to come. It's free for first time visitors. And it's free if you're a member, too.
We will start with a brief meditation and gentle stretching. From there I will guide you in some simple movements and invite you to find your own dance.
No previous experience necessary. All are welcome. Wear clothes you can move in!

The qigong that I practice is a mixture of several varieties I have learned and experienced over the years. It is gentle and healing and appropriate for most levels of ability.
This is an ongoing class that will continue each Wednesday at 8am until the weather gets too cold.
Suggested donation of $5. All are welcome - no one will be turned away.
Location: Meet on the south side of the rose garden between the garden and the road. There is an oak tree with benches around its base next to a ginkgo tree. Look for us there.
In case of heavy rain or storm, class will be canceled.
